A stranger never to be forgotten

This is a non-pregnancy related post...yes, the buns are still in the oven. But I really wanted to share this short sweet story that happened to us last night.

We were eating out at Taco Bell last night as a family. If you go anywhere outside of Utah with three young children and a very pregnant mama you are sure to attract gazes. As Ron was about to pay for our food a kind, older gentleman said to Ron, "I would like to pay for your food." Ron asked why and the man said "The Lord told me to. I've been in your place before trying to provide for a family." The man paid for our food and left.

This really touched me and reinforced that there are such kind people everywhere. We ended up having a really nice night as a family at Taco Bell (much better than previous near disasters we've had there). I want to be more like this man and find small ways to help others. I get caught up in my busy life and what I have to do that I miss those subtle moments in which I could serve others.

Love This!!!! I would absolutely love to be able to do something like that for other people! I definitely get too caught up in my life with crazy kiddos & forget about what goes on outside of my house.

This was just what I needed to hear Rachelle, thanks for sharing. That is precious. I have been so burdened with all the craziness going on especially right around here, and reminders that there is still good are so uplifting right now! Thanks!

What a touching post. Ya'll radiate the light of Christ constantly, I can't help but imagine the love the man felt when he watched your family. Taco Bell, eh? We need to try that one.

That is neat! We love kindness like that. It's quite the touching feeling when that happens to you, We've been blessed by a strangers kindness before it is quite humbling!

What a nice treat for you guys! I think it was on Christmas Eve that a friend was on FB and she said that she was in a drive-thru line in AZ and when she pulled up to the window to pay, the car in front had paid for her order. So to pass along the gift, she paid for the two cars behind her. She said she hoped it would continue on for awhile. A fun idea to try sometime!
I'm glad you got a night off from cooking. Take it easy over there - those boys will be here soon.
