Yes, they are identical

A lot of people have asked if the twins are identical. Yes, they are identical, which we found is not a hereditary trait, only fraternal twins are. Babies in the womb have two sacks, the chorion (outer sack) and amnion (inner sack). The twins shared the chorion sack but had separate amnion sacks, that is how they could tell they were identical. There was only one placenta. Maybe more info than you wanted, but it's interesting. We are loving it and trying to catch a few winks now and then.

You crack me up! I want to know how you are holding up being a mom of 5 now! I am getting excited for baby girl #3 to come.... I see newborns and start going nuts inside... I want to hold her :)

Me too, jealous of the twins, but don't tell Matt that. How fun that they are identical! Hope you get some rest.

I thought they were identical! I hope you are all getting some sleep between all the feedings going on at your house. Do you have a friend who is good at taking pict? I bet you could have a fun photo shoot with those twins of yours!

How many years do I have before I have to tell them apart? Will they know I still love them? Will the one who's smart at math take the tests of his brother? And will the other take speeding tickets so the other can avoid an insurance hike? It's all so confusing...and FUN!

That is interesting. I hope you're able to find a good way to tell them apart:) I keep thinking about you guys and what an adjustment it must be with TWO babies! You are such an amazing family though, I'm sure you're managing just fine. Have fun!
