All I can say is...watch out for cement structures holding light posts when you are backing up in a parking lot! Our sad new van did not stay new for long. Poor Ron got the call from me while in Atlanta for a job interview. From my phone message he was worried one of the kids was hurt. When he heard it was only the car, he was relieved. After counting my blessings (no one was hurt, it didn't involve anyone else, the car still works) and eating a pink cupcake, I felt much better. Feel bad for me for .0000000045 seconds and then move on...there are millions more people who had a worse day than me!

Wow, that is a little worse than I thought it would be. At least we know the cement blocks are doing their job. Glad you're all safe and Ron is back to help you out.
How sad! James would not be a happy person if I did that to our car, it sounds like your husband was pretty cool about it.
Guys, so sad. I've decided that nothing beautiful in life stays beautiful for long. I don't know why that is, but perhpas because we can only take our relationships with us to heaven. Not cars, or homes, or leather couches.
Good for you for having a positive attitude. I hope Ron's interview went well.
How sad. After the hard times comes something good. That is my philosophy, so now that you have had something bad happen, something good is about to happen.
Yikers!!! Thank heavens for pink cupcakes! I'm glad everyone is ok . . . and the van will be too.
You poor gal! I'm glad no one was hurt!
Rachelle,
So glad you are all oaky! I love sweets to make feel better! We miss you guys too! We are expecting our second child on September 1st in honor of you Rachelle! (is that your b-day?)
We love you crazy Guymons!
Bummer! I'll have to try eating a pink cupcake next time I have car trouble! I've had a couple of "episodes" with my van the past couple of weeks - one involving a sheet of ice falling off a roof and damaging the front end and another involving the battery dying. I think everyone in my neighborhood has jumped my car in the past couple of weeks (except for my husband, he's never around when it dies).
You did a good job of scratching up your car there Rachelle! So how are the interviews? Does Ron like any one place best yet? We have still only had one but are hoping it works out! Good luck.
We've been through many NEW cars/vans. I've done this - it hurts and then you move on. It's happened so many times (especially with our work vans) that you come to realize that 'It is just a vehicle!' So even when Aaron bought me my chariot (my fully-loaded Tahoe), I've never lost sleep over any dings, scratches, booms or spilt milk X 18 that have occured. I'm just glad that you family is okay. - We sure are going to miss you when you leave.
Shelly Face, I'll think twice before letting you drive my car again. Ha! Love, Dawdee
