This blanket is a reminder to me of how generous Grandma Goodell has always been, and what a good gift giver she, Mom, and all of my siblings are. Notice how well the blanket has held up after all of these years of abuse.
I just wanted to let you all know where it is, and that it's still being used regularly. For example, this weekend it was the blanket that the boys had to be on while they ate conference treats. (Contrary to what Rebecca is thinking or hoping, I'm not trying to nurse her.)
If you have more memories and/or pictures of this blanket then let us all know.

OHHHHHHHH! What a beautiful post!!!
How did you know I wondered what happened to my long lost, beloved blankie? You were always such a good sharer, I didn't know it wasn't mine. I'm SO glad it's still getting all that use; you'll have to pass it on to your boys like an heirloom. And I can't believe how good it still looks! Besides missing the navy edging it used to have, it looks the same. Unbelievable!
And LOL about Rebecca nursing. Jace is looking like a nice, good boy...just like Daddy.
I only wish I had a picture. I love the ones you posted! Thanks for filling my soul tonight, and please give that shark blanket a fond caress for me.
Ditto to everything Natalie says.
I must level with you, though. I have never seen the blanket laid flat on the floor. Perhaps because it was always draped across at least three people. Or perhaps it was hidden by other blakents used as a roof on the multi-room huts. Honestly, I don't think I even knew a shark was on the blanket. I suppose I always just trusted its title. And, is the diver new? Did he swim his way into the blanket recently?
Alas, the shark blanket has been a long time friend -- the only blanket to date that didn't "stick" to my feet (well, the navy edging did, so I was happy to see it go). And, what a treasure still today.
Kudos to you for blogging a beloved propt of happiness and memories.
