Do you ever look at people's blogs and think "Their life is perfect" as you gaze at yours and put your messes against their perfections? I have stopped doing this because I am frankly too busy and tired to care and also, I have learned to be grateful that people take the time to post about their successes, or not so much successes, to give us all comic relief. So here is some of my "dirty laundry" for you all to get a smile or sigh out of, perhaps both....
Brayden with booger nose and double oozy eye infection-we had to go twice to the doctor today...first time I waited an hour in the waiting room with two screaming babies with another hour to go with people telling me my hands are full-I said I would just come back after their nap...
To give us a little break, we gave them ice creams cones...nothing like ice cream and ooze smeared on your face...but they were happy, excellent

I feel so in tune to you right now. Amen, and Amen, to all of the above.
I think you are wonderful, and I just don't know how you do all that you do.
xo, Nat
All mommies with young children are so loved for all they do with no reward. It is a hard time, but with the gospel your perspective is correct, and the Lord blesses you to have an understanding that keeps you going. Even with eye infections and not much time to read scriptures. The odd thing is that you miss it, a little, when it is over.
Bless you for posting on how things really are. You're a good woman, Rachelle! I have a spot behind my couch, too! And a few other spots, for that matter.
Hey, your life is just like mine! Two toddlers that never listen to me, the messes, the ooziness on occasion, the 11pm blogging with scriptures yet to be read. Can't forget the garden either. Ahhh...someday we'll get a vacation. In the meantime, here's hoping your kids are angels tomorrow!
Love it all! 1
You are exactly right -- your day/days are successes! All your children are happy.
I think you are the object of many people's envy, Rachelle. Even mine sometimes ... there are hard days, but we all know you're giving it your best shot always and teaching your children with talents that the rest of us just don't have. I've had to leave appointments because of struggling kids. One of my pet peeves! Don't they know kids can't wait that long?? Especially when not feeling well? It only makes me appreciate this story about President Kimball that much more.
Wow rachelle. I always knew you were amazing. :) Wow! I have one right now and I am dying. :) I hope your kids get feeling better. :) Hugs.
