The Holidays and then some...

Christmas and New Years have come and gone...on to the 2011 eh!!! It was a good holiday season, low key, with lots of friends and food! Plus, we had a white Christmas here in Atlanta, so very pretty and very unusual!

At Stone Mountain: a state park nearby with tourist attractions

Christmas Eve gingerbread houses...wanna know the secret to not tearing your hair out when all the kids' houses fall apart during decorating? First dip the edges of the houses in melted down sugar (careful, I burned myself a few times) and then stick the sides together...works like super glue and everyone is happy!

Christmas pizzas...I didn't want anyone telling me that dinner looked gross...so this is what they all picked to have on Christmas Eve.

We had a little scare last Wednesday...I awoke with labor pains after I had just gone to bed . We rushed to the hospital where they pumped me full of fluids and monitored me until morning, when the contractions eased a bit. They sent me home telling me they wouldn't be surprised if they saw me some more before the actual birth. I am back to normal now, so that's good. I am on no medication, they just told me to go about my normal life. It urged us to get more prepared.

This is me pregnant with Becca a month before her birth. The other picture was one hour ago. I am no longer just "Belly" to Jace but "Bellies." The kids rub and kiss my belly and I think I know how Buddha feels. At least my belly will be reduced in a few months :) Ron is a gem and helps me out all the time. His belly is actually shrinking because I eat all his food! Ron wants me to write more about him....next post.

You look amazing Rachelle! Seriously - I don't know how you still have so much energy while being pregnant with twins - amazing! And everyone looks so good. Is Ronny back in school now? Lauren started this week and it is no fun having to get up early again in the morning. I love being able to take it easy. But I can't complain - poor Dave us up and at it by 5am each day with seminary! At least I still get to sleep in until 7.
Take it easy so those little boys stay put for awhile longer!

P.S. - Did you make the curtains in your kitchen? I need something similar for a kitchen door that is glass. If you made them, how hard was it? Where did you get a pattern?

I'm glad everything is okay with your babies. That's kind of scary. You look so adorable! I'm impressed with all that you are doing with the holidays and being pregnant with TWINS! Do you guys make it to stone mountain very often. I love that place. Especially the laser show in the summer. Thanks for the sugar tip with the ginger bread houses. I will definitely use that next year. Our ginger bread experience this year was a huge flop. We'll be ready next year:) I love the Christmas eve pizza dinner. What a fun idea!
