Introducing Baby A and Baby B

The ultrasound went well today, sigh! It was the first time Ron has seen them on the live screen so that was sweet. Baby A is down low and and Baby B thus far is on top and breechish. They could only see one membrane (instead of two) separating them so they look like identical twins at this point (I still don't completely understand it). Two membranes separating them would suggest fraternal. I am going to see a specialist because they need to make sure baby A is growing okay, since it is smaller than Baby B and they need a more intricate picture of the membrane. I'm not sure how well these pictures will show up on a blog but I'll give it a go. A picture of them together is on the bottom and right. The right one shows an arm extending to punch his brother...excellent, sibling abuse is already in full force! You can see in the bottom picture that Baby A is smaller than Baby B. I will not carry them longer than March 11th, at 38 weeks but they could easily come before that. Future ultrasounds will reveal what positions they will get comfy in prior delivery. C-section vs "normal" delivery is still in question. I am 20 weeks now and fearing a little what 38 weeks pregnant with twins will be like!!! But then, I should not give in to my fears and press ahead!

That is so exciting - Identical Twins!! Glad to see everything is going well! Only 4 more months (at the most) and those boys will be here - crazy!! Have fun in Utah. Dave is out there right now for a conference and he keeps rubbing it in. I told him to go get some yummy pizza and salad from The Brick Oven for me!
