Swedish Week

Hej, the Swedish word for Hello!!!
This week we learned about Sweden, where my ancestors originated.
We made Swedish meatballs, ate Swedish fish (not really found in Sweden:), made a flag, and colored Swedish vikings. It has been fun to focus on a country a week and learn a little bit about it. Ronnie's version of the capital: The Stockholm

Don't be deceived by Becca's huge mound of veggies. She served herself. One of those carrots probably ended up chewed up in her cup or on my lap and the rest of the veggies were taken from her plate:)

Don't they look thrilled to do this craft? Idea from www.dltk-kids.com

Swedes do not put Desitin on their face. I think Becca thought we were learning about clowns.

Oh my, Rachelle! A Swedish Celebration?! How awesome is that?!! I wish I were your neighbor and could come over for some Swedish meatballs and crafts! You sure know how to make life so much fun!

Rachelle,

I was almost fooled by Becca's veggies...that is until I zoomed in on the picture and noticed the enormous cringe on her face. Then I understood.

Sounds like so much fun. We wish we were there with you. Can't wait to see you all soon!

This post really makes me smile! We have a great heritage and I'm glad you taught your kids all about it. You should do a Greek, English, and French week too, as well as any other ancestry from Ron's side.

You're pretty much the best mom, ever. I do wish that your dinner menu will not include Desitin when we come to visit.
