More than one way to use a helmet

Ever see a bird's nest in your helmet? We didn't even notice this nest in the garage until it was completely finished. It's pretty cute!

Six eggs were eventually laid; only four of the six hatched.

The freshly hatched birdies were cute- in a scrawny, wrinkled sort of way

The mommy bird pushed one of the unhatched eggs out of the nest, even when we pushed it back in. She could escape through a small hole at the bottom of the garage. The birdies flew away this morning...sad to see them go! (Cute was my favorite word today..refer to video)

I can't believe you didn't notice that huge nest! Have you gotten rid of it yet since now all the birdies have flown away?
We are not as nice as you guys. When we were getting our condo ready to sell we noticed all these scraps of grass and sticks and leaves that kept appearing on our deck. We finally noticed that some birds were making a nest in the rafters on the deck above us and these were the scraps messing up our deck. If we weren't trying to sell the place we probably would have left it but Dave quickly grabbed a broom and went out and destroyed all their hard work before they could lay eggs. They started to build again so he did it again and finally they went and found another place to build their nest. I still feel kind of bad about it but they sure were messy nest builders and I sure wanted to sell my condo!
